We lost another bluegrass pioneer this week when banjo player and singer Ray Goins passed away on Monday, July 2, 2007. Ray had been ill for some time, and was hospitalized in Pikeville, KY when he died. He was a member of the legendary Lonesome Pine Fiddlers, formed by Ray and Charlie Cline in 1938. [...]
