But seriously, Ida Clare brings a unique sound to bluegrass, blending rock music with the traditional sounds of the banjo and mandolin. It’s an intentional mixture, with Robin Thixton on banjo and Lea Cockrell on guitar serving up the grass, while Jim Wheatley on mandolin and Nick Stevens on bass provide the rock influence.
Wheatley wrote and sings Rattlesnakes in the Kitchen, a song about an apocalyptic future, or perhaps a truly mad dream.
