One White Line at a Time from Trey Hensley

Pinecastle Records has paired Trey Hensley with country star Steve Wariner for Trey’s latest single, one the two of them wrote with Rob Ickes called One White Line at a Time.

Hensley has spent the past decade plus performing in a duo with Rob Ickes, where his rich baritone voice shone bright, alongside his fire-breathing guitar work. Now pursuing a solo career, Trey is getting ready for the release of his debut project with Pinecastle, with this as his second single.

He shared a few words about this track, which shows the country influence on his music.

One White Line started as a lot of songs I have been a part of have — comparing road stories. Rob Ickes and I had the chance to write with one of our heroes, Steve Wariner, and this song was the first one we wrote together. It quickly became one of my favorite songs, and it was an honor to have Steve play and sing on this track! This is either take one or two of the recording — everything just fell into place. The groove feels very much like an old semi-truck coming down the highway, counting down the miles until they are home. I always felt a kinship to truck drivers as a musician—I think our paths are similar. We get to see all these parts of the world from a windshield… but at the end of the day, there’s no place like home.”

In addition to Steve and Trey on guitars, the track features Andy Leftwich on mandolin and fiddle, Mike Bub on bass, and Charles Yingling  on drums.

Give this one a listen.

One White Line at a Time is available now from popular download and streaming services online, and to radio programmers via AirPlay Direct.
