The Burnett Sisters Band has a new single with Pinecastle Records, a delightful Cajun-inflected song from Gailanne Amundsen called Blaming You.
The title is a bit deceiving, as the theme of the lyrics is that the narrator is not blaming the man about whom she sings, who doesn’t feel the same way about her as she does about him.
Anneli Burnett sings lead and plays fiddle, with sisters Anissa on fiddle and harmony vocal, and Sophia Burnett on bass. Bandmate Geary Allen adds guitar, banjo, and harmony vocal. Assisting are Tony Dingus on steel and John Gardner on percussion.
They turn in a warm, comfortable cut of this affecting number, a personal favorite from their current album, Easy Come, Easy Go.
Have a listen.
Blaming You is available now from popular download and streaming services online, and to radio programmers via AirPlay Direct.
