GrassGigs displays bluegrass shows all over the world

Justin Jones, guitarist and lead singer with Travis Watts and Mountain Blessings in Mount Airy, NC, has come up with a new web site that offers bluegrass fans a simple way to find shows close to home.

It’s called GrassGigs, and provides a simple interface to search for live performances, either wherever you live, or somewhere you might be visiting. Simply click on the map where you want to search for shows, or use the pull-down list of artists to limit your queery. Couldn’t be easier.

Justin says that he designed GrassGigs to provide a service readily available in other styles of music.

“Other genres have multiple tools to help fans find live music, but there really hasn’t been anything built specifically for the bluegrass community.”

He also invites artists and bands to register their web sites with GrassGigs, which will then automatically pull your show dates for display in the GrassGigs listings. Every tour list is checked monthly, and Jones uses AI to verify and proof the events, which will be updated should the details change.

The service is free to fans, and bands have the option to join on a free tier to see how they like the service. The web site doesn’t describe what the paid tier entails.

Each listing on Grass Gigs includes a link back to the artist web site, and a map link to the venue.

Give it a look-see online.
