Turnberry Records has announced the signing of traditional bluegrass stalwarts The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys.
For the past 12 years, these Boys have been tearing up the bluegrass scene, based on their hypnotic Stanley-style drive, powerful original material, and soaring harmonies. They started out playing every day at Gatlinburg, TN’s Ole Smoky Moonshine distillery, where they honed a sound and a stage show that has wowed audiences all over the world.
The band is led by mandolinist C.J. Lewandowski, who got to know label head Keith Barnacastle during a special album project recently.
“Turnberry Records has made incredible strides in the bluegrass world these past few years. Keith has created a strong team that all their artists can lean on for support.
The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys are eager to get in the studio and feature the second lineup of our eleven-year history.
I have been a Turnberry artist alongside the late, great Bobby Osborne, and have worked closely with the Turnberry team on the most important project of my career. I know they will take the same care with the new music for The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys.

Barnacastle was equally generous in his praise for his latest signees.

In addition to Lewandowski, the band consists of co-founders Jereme Brown on banjo, and Jasper Lorentzen on bass, with new members Max Silverstein on fiddle, and John Gooding on guitar.
