Nashville singer/songwriter Laura Leigh Jones has an upcoming album of her original bluegrass music on Oh Boy Records, and she has shared one of the tracks as a single.
It’s one she wrote with Ronnie Bowman called Undertaker, far from a Christmas-themed number. It was actually released close to a different holiday, and I bet you can guess which one it was after listening.
Jones grew up along the Virginia/North Caroline line, where bluegrass is a native language. Along with her siblings she performed with The Cana Ramblers, which also featured Laura Leigh’s brother Will, who will be familiar to bluegrass lovers from his work with Terry Baucom.
Since moving to Nashville more than a decade ago, Jones has been an active writer and co-writer, and she is looking forward to seeing her new album hit next year.
On Undertaker, we hear Laura Leigh’s evocative voice, along with a number of Nashville super-pickers including Sierra Hull, Justin Moses, and Ronnie Bowman.

Undertaker is available now from popular download and streaming services online.
