Singer and songwriter Kathy Stommel has released a lovely bluegrass gospel number, Where the Good News Rings Out, on Bell Buckle Records. A lovely 3/4 time song of praise, it is highlighted by Kathy’s clear vocal delivery and a strong backing group.
Assisting in the writing were Donna Ulisse and Jan Springer, creating a song which invites us to imagine the power of Jesus in a simple yet heartfelt message, delivered by a tranquil lakeside.
The track was recorded with a top-notch studio band, including Jake Stargel on guitar, Harry Clark on mandolin, Jason Carter on fiddle, and Jeff Partin on reso-guitar and bass. Nate Burie and Donna Ulisse provided harmony vocals.
It’s a lovely message as we prepare to celebrate the feast of the Nativity.
