For their latest Pinecastle Records single, Lorraine Jordan & Carolina Road have tapped bass played Kevin Lamm to sing the lead vocal.
It’s their version of Molly Rose, written by veteran Virginia banjo man Lynwood Lunsford. The song has become a popular bluegrass favorite, recorded by a number of other artists, including Jeff Parker.
Jordan explained how they decided to cut it with Carolina Road.
“I’ve always loved the energy this song brings to our shows, and fans request this song often. Kevin brings such a fresh feel to the lead vocal, and I think listeners are really going to connect with his performance on Molly Rose.”
Along with Kevin on bass and Lorraine on mandolin, support comes from bandmates Allen Dyer on guitar, Ben Greene on banjo, Wayne Morris on guitar, and Matt Hooper on fiddle.

Molly Rose, and the full A Little Bit of Bluegrass album on which it is contained, are available now from popular download and streaming services online, and to radio programmers via AirPlay Direct.
