Remedy Tree’s Forest Gathering with Jason Carter

Florida’s fast-rising bluegrass band, Remedy Tree, has teamed up with fiddler supreme Jason Carter and Evans Media Source to produce a one-day festival this Saturday.

They are calling it a Forest Gathering, and it will take place at the Florida Sand Music Ranch in Brooksville, about an hour north of Tampa and an hour and a half west of Orlando.

Things kick off on Friday (12/12) with a potluck dinner at 6:00 p.m., followed by jamming into the night. Then on Saturday, there will be banjo, mandolin, and songwriting workshops from 1:00-4:00 p.m., followed by music starting at 6:00.

The Sunshine Pickers will kick off the show, with Sawgrass Slim to follow. Remedy Tree with Jason Carter close things out at 8:00.

Gabriel Acevedo, guitarist, vocalist, and primary songwriter with Remedy Tree, says that they simply want to party with their fans and friends before the holidays begin in earnest.

“We’ve been really lucky and blessed to have collaborated with Jason Carter on our latest album with Mountain Fever Records. Jason also was a guest at our Station Inn debut show, and at this year’s IBMA.

We thought ending the year with Jason would be an excellent close to the year of progress and momentum we’ve had, with all our fans that have supported us.”

He also said that if things go well, this could be the start of their very own hosted festival going forward.

Tickets are $38 for the Forest Party, and camping is available on site for water and electric, or $20 for rough camping.
